Kellie Castillo is the office coordinator at MATHISON | MATHISON ARCHITECTS.. She is responsible for organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures and, most importantly, welcoming clients and visitors to the office and assisting them as needed.
Kellie formerly worked at a color company in Grand Rapids, for over 15 years as an executive assistant. There, she was primarily responsible for seminars and with her team, was able to grow their revenue stream by over $750,000 per year. She worked closely with the marketing team to create materials such as emails, flyers, postcards, and keeping in communication with over 5,000 customers per month. In addition, she organized global sales meetings, regional US sales meetings, and yearly summer outings.
Kellie was drawn to MMA because, as a girl, she wanted to design structures, specifically bridges. The relationship with the client and MMA also appeals to Kellie. She is fascinated by the process of taking an idea and turning it into something much greater than imagined.
Kellie has always been involved in the community. She has participated in the Board for the Literacy Center and has volunteered for Girls on the Run, a non-profit program to improve the confidence of pre-teen girls through running. She is also a runner herself. Kellie has run the Boston and New York marathon multiple times. In fact, she has run over 50 half marathons. She also enjoys biking and is in the process of training for a 56 miler. Even more than running and biking, she loves her family. She has three daughters and 9 grandchildren who she loves dearly.
