Megan Feenstra Wall

Megan Feenstra Wall is an architect with MATHISON | MATHISON ARCHITECTS.

Megan is able to assess needs from multiple stakeholders and design beautiful solutions that exceed expectations. Her calm demeanor allows her to provide clarity and perspective in challenging situations. She is curious and loves navigating unique projects.

Her work is primarily educational and commercial. Local projects include: downtown building renovations such as the old Pen Club and the new ArtPrize headquarters, as well as Grand Rapids Christian High and Middle Schools.

After completing her bachelor’s degree in engineering, studio art, and art history at Calvin College Megan headed to New York City to earn her Master of Architecture from Columbia University. Upon graduation, she worked for Stephen Tilly Architects before setting off on an adventure with her husband, working at a ski resort in Colorado, touring Southeast Asia and finally landing in England for a few years. She worked at Napper Architects in Newcastle, and her favorite projects included two large court buildings outside of Manchester and a beautiful boathouse and restaurant on the shores of the North Sea. Returning to Michigan, Megan spent five years working at AMDG Architects in Grand Rapids.

When Megan learned about Mathison Architects she found the combination of Evan’s design talent and east coast experience with Tom’s local experience and stellar reputation compelling. She is excited to push design beyond the norm.

She is passionate about community and serves on the board of the local AIA, Children’s Healing Center, Design Week West Michigan and, with Tom Mathison, helped to develop the Master of Architecture program at Kendall College.
