MMA began working with Innovia Wealth in 2022 to envision an expansion and new reception lobby to their existing office suite in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. MMA reinforced the existing planning strategy and material palette to establish continuity between the existing suite and the new expansion.

The entry and reception were a key organizing element to blend existing and new office suites. Rethinking the existing entry created an opportunity to align the environment with Innovia’s brand. Open site lines and creating additional entry points to meeting spaces are successfully blurring the line between existing and new spaces.
The addition of new materials creates a warm and inviting atmosphere to greet guests and team members as they arrive.
The scope of the addition provided 3,300 square feet of new office space (open office, private office, conference rooms, and reservable private work environments), which more than doubled the existing office capacity. The scope of the renovation reconfigured 2,500 square feet of existing office space (entry and reception area, private offices, and two flexible meeting rooms). The end result is a well composed, cohesive 11,000 square feet open office environment.
The office design reflects the values of Innovia Wealth, providing a warm and inviting space to grow their team’s progressive culture, while also supporting their team’s needs to connect with their clients through Discovery, Planning, and Execution.
